This half term has flown by, it has been very busy!
In Literacy, we have been learning about the book 'This Moose Belongs to Me'. We have been writing simple sentences about pets!
We were lucky to have a talk by a resident of Jordan's Village. He was also a pupil of Jordans School in the 50's! It was a wonderful opportunity for our Owls to learn about life in Jordans School in the 1950's and how this has changed over time.
This week in Maths we have been practising the skill of writing addition number sentences. We created number sentences based on first, then and now 'number stories' as well as part whole models.
In Geography we learnt about what human and physical features are. We then identified human and physical features in our local school environment.
In Art we explored the work of British artist 'Poonac'. We were inspired by his work and used his work to create portraits of our families. We also created some self-portraits linked to the artist Picasso. We found it quite interesting to place our facial features in different positions!
In ICT, we have been learning to use the Paintz app and typing our names!
