Another busy week in Deer Class is complete!

This week in English, we have been focusing on descriptive writing. The children have loved using our new class book, The Snail and the Whale, to bring characters and scenery to life with their wonderful vocabulary.

In Maths, we have been investigating how to add and subtract 1-digit numbers from 2-digit numbers. The children's confidence in this area has grown massively, and it has been fantastic to see them tackling these calculations with such enthusiasm!

For our Art lesson, we tried our hand at origami and created some brilliant origami whales inspired by our story. The children absolutely loved this activity, and I am sure they were incredibly proud to show off their paper creations at home!

And, of course, we cannot forget our amazing Harvest Assembly. A huge thank you to everyone who was able to come along. I know it made the children incredibly happy to see so many familiar faces in the audience cheering them on, they did a wonderful job!
