16th October 2026

This week in Owl class, we have been reading the book, 'The Perfect Fit'. We have been working on making predictions using information already read or seen in the story. We have also been practising to write lists.

In Maths this week we have been exploring parts of a whole, amount of objects or a whole number. The children have learnt to use a part whole model to show their findings.

In Phonics this week, we have been focussing on 'ea' saying 'ee'. The children have been writing sentences with words containing the 'ea' sound, as well as ensuring their sentences start with a capital letter.

In Computing, we have continued our learning on using a drawing app to create a picture.

In Science, we went for a listening walk in our school grounds. We used our sense of hearing and drew three things we could hear outside.
